How it works

Set up once

  1. Add Badland

    In Grok Bot, open Connect apps, add Badland, and sign in.

  2. Link the routine

    Your Bot creates one routine for the Line and sends you a private Badland link. Paste the routine's webhook URL and key there. The key never passes through the chat.

  3. Pair your phone

    Your Bot gives you a 6-character code. Text it to the Line number. From then on, text your Bot like anyone else.

  • Any phone

    Text your Bot from any phone over SMS. There's nothing to install.

  • Pictures

    Pictures you send reach your Bot. On paid plans, your Bot can send pictures back.

  • Guests

    On paid plans, invite family or an assistant to text your Bot. Your Bot knows who is a guest and is told not to share your private information or act on your accounts for them without your approval.

  • Your number stays private

    Your Bot never sees your phone number. It sees a masked version, like +1, then hidden digits, then 4567.

Your messages

We keep Line messages for 30 days so your Bot can read recent context, then delete them.

  • We never sell your data or use your messages to train AI models.
  • We never share your phone number or your SMS opt-in with third parties for marketing.
  • Your texts go to your Grok Bot, where Grok Bot's own terms apply.
  • Remove a phone anytime by asking your Bot or texting STOP.

Opt-in only

Badland Line sends text messages only to phones that opt in by texting a pairing code to the Line number. Messages are replies from the AI assistant you connected, plus service notices. Message frequency varies with how often you text. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time, START to opt back in, and HELP for help. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Is this made by xAI or Cursor?
No. Badland Line is an independent plugin by Badland. Grok Bot is a product of SpaceXAI and Cursor.
Does my Bot see my number?
No. It sees a masked version, like +1, then hidden digits, then 4567, which is enough to tell people apart.
What does it cost?
The plugin is free. Your Badland plan sets the limits: Free, Friends & Family at $10 a month, or Pro at $20 a month. Each text to your Bot also starts a run of its routine, which uses your Grok Bot usage.
Does it work with iMessage?

How do I stop it?
Reply STOP, or ask your Bot to remove your phone. If you replied STOP, reply START to opt back in.
